What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can remember preferences, keep a site working, or help measure traffic. Similar technologies (such as localStorage) may be used for the same purposes.
How we use cookies
Compute Performance uses essential cookies or local storage to remember your cookie consent choice and to operate basic site functions. If you accept analytics, we may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate page visits. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not block access to lesson information, forms, or curriculum pages.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
compute-performance-cookie-consent | Stores Accept or Reject choice from the cookie banner | Persists in localStorage until cleared | Compute Performance |
_session_routing (if set by host) | Essential hosting / load routing | Session | Hosting provider |
_ga / _gid (only if analytics accepted) | Aggregate visit measurement | Up to 24 months / 24 hours | Analytics provider (when enabled) |
Essential items may vary slightly by hosting configuration. Analytics cookies are not set when you choose Reject.
Managing cookies
Use the banner choices on first visit. You can clear site data in your browser settings to reset the stored consent key and see the banner again. You may also block cookies entirely in your browser; essential site features should remain available, though preference memory will not.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts from Google Fonts are loaded when pages render; that request may allow Google to receive standard technical data such as IP address. We do not embed third-party advertising cookies. If analytics are enabled after Accept, the analytics provider may set its own cookies as listed above.
Impact of disabling
Disabling or rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent you from reading lesson pages or sending a contact request. You may need to reselect consent preferences after clearing storage. Some visit statistics will be incomplete if analytics are rejected.
