Instructor in a quiet office reviewing documents at a desk

About

About the practice

Compute Performance is a Sacheon-based instruction desk for traders who want technical analysis tethered to measurable risk — not louder entry signals.

Origin

Compute Performance grew out of evening chart reviews held for a small circle of equity and FX traders in Gyeongsangnam-do. The same questions kept returning: stops placed from round numbers, position sizes that ignored stop distance, and setups that had no written invalidation. The practice formalized those reviews into structured lessons — still small, still chart-first, still centered on loss limits.

What we teach

Instruction covers technical analysis as practiced on the desk: swing structure, channels, zones, and candle context. The distinguishing thread is risk management for chart-based trading — how far a stop sits from structure, how that distance converts to size, and how a session budget keeps one idea from consuming the week.

We do not publish trade alerts, manage accounts, or sell indicator packs.

Working approach

  1. Start with the trader’s own marked charts
  2. Separate structure from opinion
  3. Write invalidation before discussing entry
  4. Size risk in R, not in “conviction”
  5. Leave a document the trader can reuse alone

Sessions run at the studio address in Sanam-myeon, Sacheon-si, or by scheduled remote desk review when travel is impractical.

Values at the desk

  • Clarity over cleverness in chart marks
  • Written rules over memory under pressure
  • Honesty about losses already taken
  • Instruction that ends when the risk sheet is usable — not when a subscription would renew

Relationship with clients

Traders come as students of their own process. Some complete a single Chart Structure Clinic; others work through the Risk Desk Intensive and return for Session Prep Coaching around volatile weeks. We stay within instruction. Your broker relationship, tax questions, and capital decisions remain yours.
